  3. Slice off a stem and bottom for stability.

  4. Choose shape: slices, wedges, dice.

  5. For slices: Hold steady, slice horizontally.

  6. For wedges: Halve vertically, cut into wedges.

  7. For dice: Slice, stack, cut into strips, dice cubes.

  8. Use pieces in the recipe as needed.

  9. Always use a sharp knife for clean cuts.
